i can connect to other net works such as my phones hotspot but not my home wifi why is this

Uninstall your wireless adapter's drivers and reinstall them, after downloading the latest found off Dell's support page for your laptop. Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your laptop.

Also, and I realize this is a very off chance, did you set up MAC address filtering/restriction on your home WiFi router?

I've seen people do this and forget they've done so. If what needs to connect stays stable for a very long period it's easy to do.

If it is on, and you haven't added this laptop's MAC address to the allowed list, it's never going to connect.

that could very well be the issue because im running bios ao4 and most recent is ao7
