I'm missing driver "NIC"

I was cleaning up some of the old programs from my windows xp desktop and now I can't get on the internet. I tried system restore to before I started messing with stuff, but that didn't solve the problem. When I contacted ATT they suggested I may be missing the "NIC" driver. What should I do?

That's the network driver. It's pretty simple to download / install it again. What PC is it? I'll give you the manufacturer's link to download it

You will have to download it from another computer and transfer from a USB to install it on your other system

It's a Dell. Probably about 10 years old. Yes, I can transfer it from my working laptop via USB.

If you go to that link and fill out either the serial number or product model, it should give you the network drivers to download. If you need any more help, just post

The serial number is not pulling anything up on the gateway website. Could it be too old?

It might be. The issue is, is that it's hard to find what driver as we can't easily find out. I'll keep digging and keep trying.
