So i decide to build myself a Computer for gaming use mainly. Im not the greatest at this and need some suggestions on where to improve on this build:

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX770 Overclocked, 2GB
Power Supply: Corsair GS700 700W ATX
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
Motherboard: ASUS H87M-E
Case: Corsair Obsidian 350D Black Micro
CPU Cooler:Corsair Hydro Series H100i Liquid
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
RAM: G.Skill F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3

So all up this will cost around AU$1500, my overall budget is AU$1700 max.

Have i done anything right here and what would you recommend needs changing?

Thanks a bunch

Hi Vaughn,

This is looking good, especially for your first build. The only thing i would change is get a bigger "ATX" Mid sized case and an "ATX" form factor motherboard. However, this is my personal preference as larger motherboards usually have more space for other features and room for upgrading in the future. I would also HIGHLY suggest you get a 128GB SSD to run your OS off as it speeds up games/boot times and rendering by miles. You can pick up one for about $110AUD on eBay. It may pay to look around though. Its becoming the new standard to run the OS off a SSD now-a-day. Anyhow, goodluck with your build!
