Im not getting the performance i used to get a day ago...

I just built a system, not even a week old. I was running World Of Tanks at max everything getting 60ish fps. Now im getting around 30, maybe 40. I tried overclocking slightly on my gpu (7870xt with boost), and i used turboVEvo to oc my cpu to 4.2 ghz, it was the auto tunning btw. Anyone know why it is not going to well?

a week is enough time to accrue enough malware/cookies, whatever. did you run scans?

did you do a disc clean up and defrag?

did you try resetting cmos to see if it runs at stock better?

what other programs do you have running in the background? anti-virus software/skype/whatever?

did you get all your updates from Windows Update? netframework is very important as are patches.

Bluntly, no. I will try that and see what happens, i thought my system would be fine, onl been runniong games for about 3 days.

IM looking at your answer again, does all of that affect fps in games? Internet and boot wise its all ok.
