I'm currently looking at the Silverstone Strider Essential 700, is it still a viable option? Any other recommendations around that price point?

Solution
Seasonic FOCUS Gold are usually pretty affordable and very good quality. If you need a more budget option the Corsair CXM and CX (2017 model black and grey text not green) series are decent.

The Silverstone is a quite old design so I would steer clear of it.

Are you buying this PSU new or used?
Information on SilverSTONE PSUs is HERE:
The CWT White - NO!
The SirTEC Bronze - NO!
The FSP Gold is OK (Similar in quality an build to an eVGA GQ).

You failed to mention where you are located, or what system components you will be powering, and whether you have any power hungry upgrades planned for the future. A 700W may be enough, or it may not (as in a 2xGPU high power gaming system!)

But the Focus (semi-modular), Focus Plus (fully modular) Gold, EVGA G3, or the Corsair models listed above are all good choices.
