[SOLVED] I'm replacing my 1050 ti with a 1660 ti. Do I need to uninstall the device in the display adapter properties menu?

Also, if I do uninstall the device, will that also uninstall the old drivers for it?

Reinstall Nvidia drivers (use clean install option).

No, replace the 1050 ti with the 1660 ti and then download the newest drivers from Nvidia. During installation of the drivers check the box "perform a clean installation". This will remove the old drivers and then install the newest ones for the 1660 ti.

Ok, thanks a lot. The new card is supposed to be here tomorrow. Is this something I can do in Geforce experience, or should I just get them from the Nvidia website?

Either may work however I'd recommend getting them via Nvidia's site as I've had issues previously with Nvidia Geforce Experience.
