im running cat 6 to my modem

im running cat 6 to my internet modem the problem is i cant find a adapter for the cat 6 wire to go in to the modem because it has a small port like a phone jack has any ideas ?

The smaller jack is for a regular phone cable, don't use a CAT cable here. If for some reason you wall phone jack is a RJ45, you can still use a RJ11 (the smaller plug), it will go in and you will hear it click.
