Hi!

I've just built my new sistem (a gift from santa)
AMD FX6300
Gigabyte 970A-UD3
Kingmax 8 GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HDD, SSD
MSI R7770 Ghz Edition


My problem:
after installing the video driver the system keeps restarting at windows log on screen...
Caused by: mushkin volta 500W PSU (i've installed my old PSU - ALINE 450W - all is fine)

Question: WTF? The new PSU doesn't provide enough power for the video card?
Or is it the protection sistems OCP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OPP, ULP that keep restarting my sistem?
what should I do? Buy a new PSU or keep my old one (4-5 years old) 😀

The new PSU most likely is defective and you should RMA it. I've never heard of ALINE PSUs before, but a 7770 GPU doesn't draw much power and it will run fine on your old PSU.

Fortunately it's good enough to power the system until the Mushkin PSU gets replaced.
