Honestly, i've never been such a noob at something in my life but i really need some guidance. I'm so overwhelmed with the amount of information about making a "rig" or upgrading. I honestly don't know where to start... I thought i purchased a decent computer from future shop but it barely runs world of warcraft on low settings.

How can i increase my FPS in the games i play, i hear changing out the graphics card is key but then i hear something about a GPU or Ram or like my motherboard can't hold it?

I have no idea what i'm doing, any sort of guidance would be wonderful.

List your power supply and case. Your systems seems ok other than your graphics card. Sandy bridge based cpus are great for gaming. and 6 gigs of ddr3 ram is plenty. How much can you spend to upgrade your graphic card?

curious, how much much did you pay for that rig and when? its certainly not intended for gaming, but with 2 upgrades you can get any amount of performance you want, just all depends on what your budget is. Things to change 1st will obviously be the GPU and the PSU but you havnt listed it so i dont know.

The CPU is fine, you just need a new graphics card. And to answer your question, yes, post your power supply info and your budget if you're planning to buy a new card.

Gateway DX4860 case is the one i have and if there was a graphics card more around 300 that'd be better. Trying to keep my core price about 400. :p

How did this turned out? I know this is an old tread, but I have the same G3610 with Acer Ipisb-vr motherboard with a i-5 3540 cpu, 16 GB ram and a gtx 660 TI OC gpu. I want to upgrade to a 4gb gpu, but I am uncertain of what gpu to get. Interested in hearing with others of what gpu they got for this prebuit Acer predator g3610
