Hi all.
Ive been creating a new gaming pc in my head and on pcpartpicker for two weeks now. Im so confused as to what the best setup for me is. I thought I had it sorted With an i5 6500 then saw min req on battlefield 1 is 6600k so now ive decided screw it just go with an i7 and future proof it a little. But im not sure if my cooler is good enough in case I decide to overclock in the future. So here it is if anyone who can shed some light as to anything that needs changing out or is overkill pls advise!! Would be gratefully appreciated. No mech hd needed as I have several already. Ignore the keyboard and mouse combo theyre for my partners pc.

Thanks.

Your build is compatible, and you could run as is.
I have some thoughts.

1. On the cpu question, the main difference between a I5 and I7 is that the I7 has hyperthreads which you can think of as some low capacity cores.
Today, few games can usefully use more than 2-3 threads. It is more important that the threads be fast.
If you will overclock, 6600k and 6700k can oc to about the same levels.
For a balanced gamer, I would use the price difference on a stronger graphics car and buy the I5-6600k planning to overclock a bit. That is what the K is for.

secondly, with kaby lake now available, I would buy a i5-7600k, a z270 motherboard and ddr4 ram.
It should cost no more and be a better performer.

2. You have a nice case so no liquid...

2. You have a nice case so no liquid cooler is necessary.
I would buy a simple scythe kotetsu.
