If it's on the list, it's supported.

The only problem is the board you buy might not support the i5-4690K out of the box which means you will have to flash the BIOS to the correct version.

If you're going with the 4690K you might as well buy a Z97 mobo.

i5 4690k needs Z97.

Z97 will also take i5 4670k.
