I'm trying to find a compatible graphics card for my nine year old Intel DH55HC motherboard that will provide NVENC video encoding for OBS software.


OS = Windows 10. Power supply = 500 watts.

Any help will be most appreciated!

You're likely going to be limited by budget but literally any pcie gpu will work on the mobo. Other components may limit it with the psu but we don't know your specs.

I've already tried two video cards that were recommended by Nvidia and neither one of them worked. Evidently I need a graphics card that was manufactured around 2011 or 2012.
The DH55HC has a Pci express slot. I'm not very knowledgeable about video cards so have been trying to learn more. The age of the Motherboard seems to be the issue. I was told that at some point Nvidia changed some of the specs on their video cards and I need a card that was made before that change which I think was around 2014.

The age isn't the issue but rather a uefi issue but the mobo is uefi. https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/Intel-DH55HC/472 You can see here that a bunch of people with that mobo have ran all generations of gpus. Is secure boot on? What gpus did you try?
