Im trying to install windows 7 on a new 1tb hard drive and it wont install

Im trying to install windows 7 on a new wd 1 tb hard drive and it wont install i keep getting an error message but it doesnt list the error. Do I have to format it and create new partitions?

You do not have to format the drive, windows does that when you do advanced install. You should do an md5 check to make sure your windows installer is not corrupt.
