I'm trying to repair my cousin's computer

This is a build from Fry's store. CG5810. The hdd that came with the system failed. My cousin was only given recovery disks. Can I start up the hdd with Suse Linix? Or Can I attempt to load Windows system files on a 8 gb thumb drive?

What are you trying to do? You can always try to load Ubuntu and access the hard drive from there when you choose the option "try it out" or something along that line. Best just take it to Fry's and work out a return. They always after your money but be persistent. [I go to Fry's often]

Your not being specific about what your trying to do.

If the hdd failed, how are you going to start it up with Suse Linix?? And what do you mean by "start it up"?
