I'm upgrading my PC and need the optimum build for my GTX 1070?

As of this moment I have a Intel I5-4690k but I believe I am experiencing a bottleneck. On BF1 the CPU uses 100% constantly.

My budget will be 300-500 (try and keep as low as possible).

This will entail purchasing a new CPU, motherboard and two 8GB RAM sticks + if possible a External Fan.

I'd prefer everything to be new gen.

I need help as I know nothing about computers really.

Thanks all - much love.

Solution
You're only receiving a bottleneck on BF1 due to the fact that the CPU enhancements and optimisation are terrible, as it states the recommended is to use a 6700K (Basically the 4790K), you can run it on a 4690K, just have to lower the CPU intensive settings and you'll be fine.

Upgrading the 4690K will not really benefit you in any way, shape or form while gaming, except on this one, or maybe a couple of other games, and obviously while rendering (If you do that). If you want to upgrade, then you'd need to purchase a 6700K, 2x8GB RAM, and a motherboard, as you stated. This of which will probably go out of your budget.

You have a k cpu so maybe first try overclocking? Otherwise just get a 4790k as that is cheaper than going with a whole new platform just because 1 game isn't that well optimized with cpu usage.
