I figure I would just sell my mom my old computer and build one from scratch. Do I need to buy some tools ? What's the best I can get for the money I'm willing to put out. I want a GTX 780 and I like FPS, plus the faster the PC the better. I like to game, do homework(not that I like to do it), and online use. The lower the price the better too.. my old computer is a Dell XPS 8500, if that helps in any way or I should take something out of it?

It's up to you. Personally, I would wait a little bit to more confirmed information arises. But its up to you. The 780 will do just fine for quite a few years. So it probably doesnt make a whole lot of difference in the end. I just wouldn't want to buy it and then have buyers remorse because the new one came out and was better and had a similar pricepoint.

If you got money to spend on a 780...wait a few weeks and see what the 800 series has to offer. Rumors pointing to a september release for around $450 for an 880.

lol, in that case, I will wait.

but what should I get then or wait till sept?
