[SOLVED] IMac New SSHD OS X install?

I have an IMac Mid 2010 that the hard drive has failed in. I am going to replace it with a new SSHD, but how can i get OS X onto the new drive?

the Mid 2010 model MAY have the recovery built in. If it does you don't need a mac disk. Look up how to boot to recovery on 2010 iMac and see if it has a recovery. If it does then all you need to do is format it Disk Manager before you install OSX

Your problem is that that model requires an EFI update before you can do an Internet install. Unless this has already been done (unlikely) you will need the help of a friend with a Mac or an authorised Apple repair shop. Your best bet would be an Apple Store if there is one near you.
