Hi,

I got important data to save (my external 1tb hdd is gonna die soon) and i would like to put my data in my server(H24 on) but also get a backup hdd if the server hdd crash or something. I would need 2Tb data at least and my budget is approx 200 cad for this.

I was thinking 1 internal and 1 external/portable

Thanks

Ahhh, another fan of Benjamin Sisko & crew, DS9's protector, and remembering the original vessel of Captain James T. Kirk :)
Anyway, your plan sounds aok to me, are you planning to make full images of your OS and Data partitions using something similar to Macrium Reflect?

"...i need to at least backup my 1tb" Using something like Macrium Reflect or EaseUS or AOMEI, making full images, high-compressed images, of your OS and Data partitions -- you can get along with just 1TB (I save 2 Cs & 1 D on mine), or, just a 2TB ext HD.

here is an internal 3TB WD blue. i have had the 4TB version for a few months now and have had no issues:

here is a 2TB WD passport drive for 95 CAD but i seen there are seagate 2TB drives on for 89 CAD too

the links should give you an idea what the prices are like. im not sure how much it would end up being since some shipping costs may be involed
