I am using GPU-Z while testing with my Vega 56 (flashed to 64 bios). It says that my HBM2 on load can be as hot as >2000c while the hotspot is a normal 70c-75c. Is this really possible? If not, what is giving me the wrong reading? Does it have anything to do with the Bios

Solution
No, it is not possible because your PC would catch fire if it was 2000C. I would guess that it has something to do with the flashed bios. I would try uninstalling GPU Z and then reinstalling though as there maybe a corruption, but i doubt it.
I think what is most likely happening is you have something similar to an "open input".

Basically it means that nothing is connected to that input and the input just floats to whatever voltage it wants and you see screwy readings.

This is a pretty common thing to come across with hardware monitoring software.
