Improving Hardware On A Laptop

Well I have a Gateway fx p-79 series, model number ms2252; it's a expensive 2009 gaming laptop. And it currently have a lot of user damage(CD/DVD not working, hard drive gone bad, screen slighty cracked & water got in the screen, and keyboard has water damage), and I need a new laptop. I was planning to buy a 17 inch computer(still deciding) for under 400 dollars from Walmart or best buy, the thing is I'm a gamer and the computer in that price range don't have good graphic cards/GPUs. I was wondering was there a way to switch the GPU/graphical card to put in the new laptop? I'm willing to buy a specific laptop just so it could be hardware compatible with the ms2252.
