in device manager, i cant even see the "wireless device" option. all that's there is ethernet cable.

i have an hp pavilion g6 with windows 8. it was a "gift," so it was technically refurbished (by me)
I did a factory reset, and now it wont connect to any sort of wifi! and in device manager, i cant even see the "wireless device" option. i currently have an ethernet cable plugged in. ive tried everything i can think of. any suggestions will help!
