Twitch has a guide to set it up for streaming.

You shouldn't have performance drops that big, unless you're being heat/power throttled.

What game are you streaming? Likely its an efficiency issue. Most video streamers like that use a lot of CPU power, and though that is an excellent CPU, its likely causing a bottleneck on the GPU when streaming. Your best options are to try an overclock, and like the aboe suggested try a different video streamer that is more efficient. Nvidia has a service for that too that is supposed to be very efficient. Try that.

You say everything seems fine but you might not know what to look for, what are your utilizations at when you're streaming/idle?
And one thing to try for shizz and giggles, go to control panel, power management, and choose the high performance profile and see if that makes a difference.
And does what about other games besides LoL?

I told you what the problem is before. Streaming like that is very demanding and some programs are very inefficient at it. Nvidia, AMD, and Intel all have special programs optimized for their hardware for streaming to try and improve this problem.

If you don't want to use Nvidia ShadowPlay which has basically no problem, use the Raptr gaming app and the streaming service inside of that, which makes use of Intel Quick Sync and is also extremely efficient.

Nothing is wrong with your system, the programs in use are simply inefficient.

you are correct in that shadow play was fine, but what i t offers for streaming is very bad also the quality it provides is also not the best.

is there any way i can active quick sync for obs? its greyed out at the moment
