In-game Sound issues with new PC

Hey everyone I just built a new gaming PC a week or so ago, and I've been having issues with my sounds ONLY when in WoW and BF4. The sound will work for 1-2 minutes and then completely stop, while the sound outside of the games will continue working.

AMD FX-6300
MSI-760 G43
AMD R9 270X
Corsair vengeance 1x8 ram
Windows 8.1

could it be a corrupted audio driver issue? though that seems unlikely since it only happens with 2 applications, either way try reinstalling your audio drivers (completely uninstall then reinstall) and see if that solves it

In my Device Manage I see two sound drivers AMD High Def and Realtek High def, not sure why I have two is this normal? The sound just start cutting out for 1-2 secs(says no headphones or speakers detected) when I have WoW opened and a Twitch.tv stream. I just uninstalled the realtek high def audio driver and installed the realtek 2.73 driver, and it's sitll occuring.

yeah it's normal to have 2 different devices, and how odd, are you using sound output that uses USB? or it is just plain audio jack headphones

It's just the normal audio(green) jack

hmm... I'm not sure how much else I can help, you could try messing around the sound control panel and see what might be causing the problem, like see if the devices are being shut off by windows somehow
