[SOLVED] In-game stuttering

The games installed on my HDD (WD Black 2TB 7200RPM) suddenly started stuttering. I'm sure that this is an issue with my HDD because when installing the same games on my SSD, they run flawlessly.

If not for the in-game stuttering, I wouldn't have noticed that there was anything wrong with my HDD as everything else runs smoothly.

Will I have to replace my drive, or is there anything I can do to try and fix the problem? I tried defragging it, but Windows already does that weekly anyway, and it did not fix the issue.

Specs are in my signature.

Edit: I ran a SMART test and it looks like I got a faulty drive. http://prntscr.com/uxyuc4

I know next to nothing about understanding SMART values so can't help you with those.

But I can see that the status says "Pass" so that's clear enough.

Try running an actual diagnostic test (choose long or extended).
From the symptoms you describe, the fact that it doesn't happen with same game running off SSD, and the Smart report, I'd definitely say your HDD needs replacing.

To confirm, test it with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows. Get it Here

Install it on the SSD so it's not running on the same drive that's being tested.

Excuse the late reply, I just tested it and the SMART Status says "Passed" for the HDD. It looks like something isn't right though, as many values exceed the threshold but there's a checkmark anyway.
