in my router it shows speed upto 2 mbps but while downloading in torrent my speed is upto 200 kbps

in my router it shows about a speed of 2 mbps but in my torrent the downloading speed is upto 180-230 kbps .....why the speed gets reduced in my torrents but the torrent have high speed

Are you sure about your speed and you are not confusing mbyte and mbits. 230 KBYTES is 1.84 Mbits. Also generally application software only counts the actual usable data being transferred networking equipment includes all the overhead.

that is because your router is measuring your speeds in megabits and not megabytes, On my router when test the Internet speed it measures the speed in megabits. So your router is correct
