[SOLVED] In need of a box!!!

Hey guys! Long time lurker and first time poster. I am in need of a TT Lvl 20 XT case box. I’m leaving Hawai’i soon to move back to Texas and I’m 99.9% sure my wife threw mine out (don’t tell her that though) if anyone has the box and foam inserts from their case I am in desperate need and have been searching all over for one, TT’s customer service said that they don’t package their own cases so they don’t have extras and thus cannot provide me with one so I have to go secondhand or buy a whole new case.

Lol I'm gonna watch this thread, sounds like a good story to follow. But sorry man I don't have that box. Best to just get a regular box that's around the same dimensions of the actual tt case box and just fill and wrap it like crazy. Put in some foam inside the case too to prevent any shifting. I would also take out the GPU and bring it as a carry-on.

Yeah, in a situation like this, just pay someone to pack it well. I have used UPS and where expensive, it arrived alive. I second the above advice about removing GPU, and would personally take out HDD too, if you are using any. SSD/M.2 will be fine.

Yeah I used a SSD and an M2 and I’m gunna take out the GPU but even then it’s still almost 2500$ worth of <Mod Edit> in the box. I’m sure it’ll be fine I’m just paranoid.

Completely understandable I would be too, the hierarchy of importance in a married man's life is:

1. Children
2. PC
3. Wife
4. dad jokes

The best you can do in this situation is take pictures of it before you pack and a video, pack it very well, test its sturdiness before handing it over to the airline, put a ton of 'Fragile' stickers and one of you giving the stink-eye so they know you're serious, and hope for the best.

If anything happens to it you'll have photo and video proof it was good before shipping. If there's any insurance you can get I would also consider that too.

Edit: Also if the CPU air cooler is big, think about a method to secure that down as well.

I've decided to buy some anti-static foam, I'm gunna fashion my own packing and fill the whole thing with anti static peanuts as well. I called UPS and they will also bubble wrap and air bag a box for ~250$ back home. I'm gunna take your advice and get the videos and photos as well!
