Hi,

The last time I purchased a new storage drive was when 2.5" SSD's were the new thing on the market.

I am in need of a 1TB SSD, preferrably NVME, I have an Asrock B450 Pro 4 mobo which apparently supports Ultra M.2(?), PCIE Gen3 x4?

I was wondering what specs I should look out for in drives that I am looking? e.g. Samsung 970 Evo Plus shows a Data Transfer Rate of 6 Gb per second but the 860 EVO 2.5" has a Data Transfer Rate of 550 Gb per second? What makes the 970 Evo Plus better?

Any recommendations on drives around the £100 mark (I will be purchasing on Black Friday) is appreciated. I use my machine purely for gaming.

"What makes the 970 Evo Plus better?"
It's faster.
The 860 EVO probably has a transfer speed of 550 MEGAb/s not GIGA
