[SOLVED] In need of new CPU & Motherboard

Hello im looking to upgrade both of my motherboard and CPU. If you guys could recommend some parts to give me an idea of where to start looking. Thanks!

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Processor: i5-2500k 3.30GHz
Graphic Card: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6gb
Power Supply: EVGA 650 W
Ram: 8gb

I would wait until AMD ryzen 3000 launches to see what value they bring and what they do to the pricing of current CPUs.

I'm looking for something that can fully utilize my graphic card and possibly retired with it. Budget 250-350?

You could buy this or wait untill the 7th of next month when AMD ryzen 3000 cpus are released.

i definitely feel the lag in most of the games i play even in medium graphic. I guess I just want to run high without lag?
Currently playing path of exile, but cs go, fornite, all lag just a bit

Is your CPU the limit? What does CPU and GPU usage look like.

4 threads of the I5 can cause stuttering. The 12 threads of the Ryzen wont have this issue.

i overclocked to 4.0ghz for cpu and GPU usage is 25%-65% while im playing path of exile. But im getting all 3 things u linked at microcenter thank you lol

Microcenter has an in-store offer for the AMD ryzen 5 1600 + AMD Wraith Spire for $80. You could buy that and overclock it to similar performance as the 2600 and save a buck. It comes with a good cooler for light overclocking.
