Hello guys, I have recently been given a laptop by a family friend to wipe clean of all the crap that had been built up on it over the years. I reinstalled Windows XP onto it as that was the OS that was originally on it but now I do not seem to be able to connect to the internet using Wi-Fi. Even when I go to device manager there doesn't seem to be a Wireless Adapter under Network Adapters. I am certain the laptop should have Wi-Fi as it has the common switch on the front to enable and disable it, which is switched on.

The laptop is a Advent 7901b, most sources have said to download the drivers but I cannot seem to find the drivers anywhere. When I tried to access the website to get the drivers this model of laptop does not seem to be on the list of possible choices.

**I just want to know if there is anyone who can help me solve this problem, if you need anymore information then just ask me and I will happily reply.**

Solution
I have done some quick research and have found that the Advent 7901b is actually manufactured by ECS under model number L51II here is a link to a page with drivers: ECS L51ll
Where do you see 7901b? I've found some comments online where that's the motherboard, not the model of the laptop. Can you still read the product sticker underneath? Post a picture if you can.

Do you know the full spec of the laptop? Might help narrow it down.
