Hello,
I'm looking to spend ~$500. I was originally thinking to buy the Asus VE278Q model, but the bad reviews are really turning me off to it.

Any suggestions? Prefer 2-6ms for gaming. 1080p, unless there are 1440 or 1600s available at a reasonable enough price. 24"-30" prefer 27" though.

Thank you for moving this thread to the appropriate section, mousemonkey!

Anyway, figured I'd give it a bump since no one has taken a stab at it yet. Any advice much appreciated. I'm well learned on computer components, but when it comes to monitors I'm ignorant as they come.

I understand 1920x1080, 2560x1600, 2560x1440, etc. I just want something HD, any of the 3 is fine. I also want nice colors, a quick relay for gaming, and no ghosting.

Also, size is important. I'm used to playing on my 47" TV, but it's just too laggy and too demanding of my eyes. I want something smaller, in the 24-30 inch area so I can absorb more of what is on the screen.

I have a benq xl2410t 24inch 120hz monitor and I'm very happy its around your price range is 1920 by 1080 has full height, pivot and portrait ability and is very smooth. Out of box colour is a bit washed out but after calibration it looks awesome.
