Why would the op have to upgrade his cpu? An AthlonII X2 250 meets the minimum requirement with no problem.
At that resolution you should be able to play on high settings, however you may have to lower some details when playing multiplayer due to the processor being dual core. As far as the graphics end of things, the 560 should do ultra at that resolution, but again , in this case probably not due to the cpu

You may get a bottleneck but i dont think it will be much. If you got like a 570 or 580 then i think you would notice a good bit. The only thing your cpu is going to effect is how low your lowest frame rates are going to be.

You may not bottleneck that card with your cpu, not sure, but I am sure you can play on high..at least at that resolution with your cpu. I dont think you would benefit from a higher level graphics card though, nor would you want to go with a 550Ti. The GTX560 is just about right for that system

From experience, the minimum specs are too low. A 2.66 core 2 duo with a radeon 6770 is barely playable (with all eye candy as low as it can go and 1440xwhatever resolution). CPU has a large impact on BF3 so I'd go as big you can afford.
