im kinda new to pc upgrades. from my understanding, the first thing i do with a new graphics card is take out the old one and put the new one in. Then, do I delete existing drivers and get new ones, or leave old ones there, or what?

ps: I am upgrading from and rx 580 to an rx5700 xt

Agreed it may not be necessary at all.

You can always just install the new GPU, install latest drivers from the manufacturers website and go from there.
But also had plenty from users where it has gone askew until they reinstalled drivers.

Only one way to try :)
Plug in the new GPU - install latest drivers, and see what happens. You can always clean afterwards.
