After some automatic Windows 10 update on 18th Jan 19, offed pc then couldn’t boot back into Windows 10.

Tried startup repair from recovery console and that made things worse it damaged bootmgr. Had to rebuild it but now it tries to start Windows 10 but get same BSOD and error, but now it never goes into that repair mode console so can’t do anything.

From cmd I also tried using DISM to find remove the two most latest windows updates and it didn’t work.

I don’t have windows 10 dvd but do have some win 10 recovery disc that allows a basic windows interface and network and tools like cmd and partition managers.

Any help appreciated.

I trried many fix it tutorials. The mbr was fixe using lots of tool including cmd and easybcd.

In case it helps others.

Things I found...

It helps to have Windows 10 DVD or USB. I had Windows 7 DVD, that wont fix Windows 10.

Newer motherboards may not be compatible with Windows 7.

Chose to reinstall Windows 10. However the issue was caused by Windows update, which should have been more stable.

Im sure many businesses out there would lose many hours if they have issue like this.
