Inaccurate temp readings :(

Okay so ever since I upgraded to an AMD FX8350 and a Coolermaster Seidon 120V, I've been getting inaccurate readings in coretemp/speedfan/HWmonitor etc. At least I'm pretty sure, because there is no way I'm idling at 5c and they are all spitting out the same low temps. Is there any software I haven't tried? My BIOS is accurate but I can't test load temps that way...

SPECS:
AMD FX 8350 @ 4Ghz
Coolermaster Seidon 120V (arctic silver 5)
Asus M5A 99fx Pro R2.0 MOBO
MSI R9 280x 3GB GPU overclocked
Antec 900 case
Thermaltake 650 Watt 80+ bronze
8GB PNY 1600Mhz RAM

Solution
Miga91's article has the answer... the FX cpus report it's values in a different way so any program other than AMD Overdrive will give you a false reading, so what you need to do is to use AMD Overdrive to properly monitor your CPU temps.
I have a question for you though. Why are you so obsessed with knowing your temps?

Is your PC under-performing?
Does you PC shut itself down?

If the answer on the questions above is NO, then just don't worry about your temps. There was a guy here on the forums who had become obsessed with his temps and said he has to alt tab of a game every 30 seconds to check his temps. Don't become like him :)

I want to know my temps because I just installed this watercooler yesterday, making sure it works properly under stress and under general tasks is important to me. Also because i'm going to overclock soon, I want to know what I have to work with.

Have you tried the ASUS Probe II?

If all software give you the same readings then it might be worth trying a fresh Windows install. (you can install Windows on a spare hard drive/SSD while unplugging all other drives so you don't lose any files/settings, later on you can just plug all back in and use your original installation if things didn't improve).

Overdrive gave me a thermal margin of 39c during prime 95.

Are you overclocked? I really want to push this think to 4.8Ghz but psu lacks a bit and so does my overclocking experience 🙁
