Hello, I have a wireless router D-Link DIR-524 and a cable internet connection. The internet connectivity is issued by our local cable operator and they have directly provide LAN cable at home. This LAN is connected to some device at rooftop which is wireless.
When i try to connect the internet plugging the LAN cable directly to my laptop using pppoe it works fine. But if i try to setup this connection pppoe in the D-LInk wifi router it always says "invalid password", i noticed that this happens due to special character "#" coming in my password if i don't include it, it allows to save but since without that character that password is meaningless.
I would really appreciate if anybody can throw some pointers on what's wrong here. I just wanted to have a wifi enabled connection so that i can utilise the internet on my other devices like phone, etc.
