I want to hard wire my other set top box that is using one of those Ruckus mediaflex adapters to send the signal wirelessly.
However, I am trying to figure out what my ISP did with my internet and TV connection. It looks like he took the incoming ethernet cable from the attic and split it off into two places. The green and orange wires going to the WAN port for my router/modem, and the others splitting off to a switch which he has my set top boxes running off of. Since he took the TV signal away from the router, I can't use powerline networking for the set top boxes that I have setup already. Should I just run a cable all the way from my "set top box switch" to the TV? Or would it be possible for me to cancel out the switch, execute the entire ethernet cable coming from the attic into the WAN port, and using powerline from the router?
The ISP is using IPTV, I have a ADSL2+ router/modem.
