Incompatible ram for am4

Hi everyone,so recently i bought a new am4 ryzen 5 1500x, paired with asus b350 plus.
So naturally i bought a new ddr 4 ram,but after trying to boot it didnt boot up but after a technician changed it to a corsair memory it booted fine.The ddr4 memory i bought was Geil evo x 1x8gb
Is this problem caused by thr incompatible ram memory?

if the geil evo x is 3000 mhz, then updating ur mobo bios to the latest revision should solve that issue. the initial bios release versions had issues with high speed rams.

This is the full name of the geil memory i bought,i think thats 2400hz tho,does it being RGB led have any effect on the incompatibility?

no. only the rgb headers shoudnt function.
if u have an extra ram slot, check weather the corsair n evo r recognized. u can maybe make them work with custom ram timings.
