[SOLVED] Incompatible ram or faulty slots?

What’s up guys,

I’ve recently purchased 8x2 modules to work with the older 8x2 modules. The problem is, they aren’t working! This isn’t the first time though. At first I thought maybe the sticks were faulty or weren’t placed correctly. I know that the older sticks speeds are 1600 whereas the new are 1333. Also they are different brands (crucial x Kingston)
So the modules will work only 2 at a time in A1-A2. If placed in B1-B2 alone the system won’t boot. Same if all four.

So do you think the slots are faulty on the mobo or something else?

Plan b would be to purchase 16x2 set and call it a day

Incompatible memory is most likely. Adding or mixing modules is hit and miss even if identical.
