Question Inconsistent ping times

I recently built a whole new computer from scratch and just got google fiber yesterday. I am connected via ethernet but my ping times will vary from 8 ms up to 147 in almost every other packet it seems. I used packetlosstest.com and got an average 67 ms jitter

Did you test the fiber with other computer?

What IP did you test to.

Have you tested to the router IP first to see if maybe it is your PC.

I would test to 8.8.8.8 also and see what you get.
