incorrect CPU cores being displayed

He guys I made a computer 3-4 days back and I installed windows 7 64bit. Everything works fine. But there I a problem, when I got to windows rating index and see my computer specs it says 1 processor core. But the specifications of the processor and dxdiag and task manager say that I have 2 cores.

Please tell me what to do to fix this issue.

Amd a4 4000

Then you have 2 cores. Unless you turned one off in the BIOS.
Windows' rating application isn't exactly reliable, don't worry about it.

Try downloading and running CPU-Z: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
It'll show you how many cores and how many threads you have (lower right corner) and it's a lot more reliable than Windows.
