Hey guys, just got an SSD HDD in my laptop E6420 Latitude. Installed Windows 7 on it, I noticed that in My Computer it says that I have XXX amount of space free of 204GB (the HDD is 256GB). When I go to Disk Management, on top where it lists the drives, it also says 204GB, but on the bottom where it shows partitions on disks, it says 100MB is reserved for the hidden drive and 238GB. I was just wondering why one is showing 204 and the other 238...please help because I do not want to lose diskspace for no reason.

I think inzone is on to something. Many laptops, especially ones that don't provide a Windows installation disk, create a hidden partition with the install/repair info. ISTR that my Acer had one about 20GB. Could well be that the Latitude has a hidden partition of ~30GB?
