"Incorrect Function" trying to initialze HDD

Long story short: It's a drive from my laptop whos mobo got fried. Tried running on my desktop with the same OS win 8.1 but it won't boot. Plugged it in externally and get the topic message when in diskmngr. I'm fairly sure it's not damaged but has something to do with BitLocker that comes with win 8.1.

Any suggestions or anyone who's had similiar experiences?
