Greetings,

I am using a 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance at 3000MHz. Or so it's supposed to be, but when I checked the task manager it shows speed of 1067 MHz.

The RAM is pretty new - bought about 3 months ago. Generally I don't have knowledgeabout PC parts, thus I am learning ( and noticing ) things over time.

So, I am not sure why does it show 1067MHz, instead of the 3000MHz and what can be done?

Thanks in advance!

DDR stands for double data rate.

1067 * 2 = 2133 - that's the speed of your RAM.

If your motherboard allows it, look for XMP profile in the BIOS, in order to overclock it to 3000Mhz.
Thanks for the reply! Btw, I did include a link to a screenshot of the task manager, though I guess it won't matter to you now.

Is it good to overclock the RAM if I intend to sell it? - wanted to upgrade with more RAM, so I am either going to keep or sell it.
