Increase ddr3 ram to

My laptop nec celeron, single core processor 1.07 ghz and 1gb ddr3 ram. My question is can i increase my ram to 4gb?

You can try, but you need to find one that is similar to yours. However, I really think getting another laptop may be your best option.

If budget is a concern, i am going to assume you have a U3405. You want to make sure you get a 800/1066mhz DDR3 stick

Go to a ram web site and access their upgrade selection app.
Enter your laptop make/model and you will get a list of supported upgrade kits.
You may have to abandon your 1gb and replace it.

Maybe. You would need to find the specifications NEC created to see what the maximum supported RAM is. 4GB is likely supported.
