Question Increase laptop storage dell 3576

Hi, please help me on THIS:

My laptop dell 3576 intel core i3 processor. 1tb hdd 4gb ram. It has cd disk thing which i never use. Can i upgrade my storage capacity ? As i have lots of files. I need some more space.

Well it's a manuals for usage. Someone told me i Can't update/add extra storage bcoz of something m2 don't have in this laptop. That's why i need a guide. I mean can i just replace 1tb hdd with 2tb or vice versa. Is it supportted?

I am noob at this Things.

can i just replace 1tb hdd with 2tb or vice versa. Is it supportted?

Do they have any max memory limit? Or performance degrade?.
Would love to have suggested hdd i can buy which will support my laptop.

Do you have a budget?

If you need more than 1tb, My suggestion is to buy a 2tb 2.5" sata ssd replacement drive.

First of all, you will be amazed at how much quicker your laptop will feel.
The idea is to clone your current C drive to the ssd and replace the HDD.
To do this, buy a usb to sata adapter cable, about $10.
For example:

When the clone is done, replace the HDD and keep it as backup.
A utility like Macrium reflect can do that.

The app only works with a samsung ssd.

It turns out that a 2tb laptop HDD is about $180, making the change to a ssd well worth it.
Copying 1tb to a device via usb connection will take perhaps 3 hours; be patient.

Thanks for suggesting. It's seems like newegg don't support Bangladesh region.
And Bangladesh finding Samsung ssd/hdd is really hard. So i will have to find it in offline store.

Or, do you recommended using any External storage? As i don't need all the data all time. I mean i can keep very old files which i Don't need frequently. I can keep them on External storage .

Yes, you could add a 1tb usb connected external device.
That is the simplest and cheapest thing to do.

But, if you have the budget, I strongly recommend that you change your C drive to a 2tb ssd.

Do you have external backup?
Do you value your data?
You could repurpose the HDD for external backup.

I mentioned Samsung for two reasons:
1. Samsung seems to be the best and most reliable ssd out there.
Problems with the windows C drive are best avoided.
2. I have used the samsung migration many times and it has never failed me.
It is trivial to use.
That said, Macrium reflect free edition can also be used. I have used that before, and I felt that there was a bit more of a learning curve.
No doubt others will be able to supply detailed instructions.

It’s possible? I mean if others drive D/E/F stay as right now. Only C drive can be upgradeable from 190gb hdd to 2tb ssd then i can wait sometimes and ask a friend from overseas to send me that mentioned Samsung ssd you suggested.

The app moves all Windows drive partitions on the C drive the new ssd.
There are a few restrictions.
For example, the source drive must be sound and logically correct.
The app is a data mover, not a bit for bit clone.

Dell is not the easiest laptop to open up.

well thanks for your reply. i will be needing a expert on this. as i have never open laptop. been using for two years. or maybe i will just buy a new one in 3/5 years i guess. i don't do heavy things in it. just browsing and watching movies. my top priority is to have bigger storage.
