Well, your system is quite well balanced with your CPU and GPU. You definitely don't have any major bottleneck CPU/GPU wise. But just to be clear, to fully utilise the 1080p 144hz panel you need a more powerful GPU. The 1050ti is just not gonna get you anywhere close to that, apart from some older games, and those less demanding. For new games/AAA you will really struggle to get close to that, or beyond 60-80 FPS/hz. A better CPU will help in certain scenarios, but is not essential just yet.
Another thing to mention is that although your CPU is still very decent, it is a 4c/4t CPU. There are some games out there right now that will use all your CPU processing power, just to keep up with your GPU. e.g BF1 which is okay with a 7500, but can take advantage of more core/threads. So it's worth looking into that down the line.
Can you list your PC specs? in full, ram, mobo, psu too!
I suspect it's one of two things. Your CPU maxing out, or only having 8gbs of ram. Again depending on what game you are playing, having only 8gbs of ram, can cause problems. When your system ram fills up, it starts to use the swap file on the HD for storing data which is fed to the GPU, and this is very slow. This can cause massive FPS drops in games. e.g Again, would be BF1, COD WW2, wolfenstein 2 - each of those games, depending on hardware and other variables will use over 9gb of system ram, sometimes as much as 11gb when gaming. So if you only have 8gb, i'd suggest looking into a 16gb kit as having to little ram can have a big impact.
