As the title says i can't increase the vram of my virtual machine beyond 256mb :/. Would be nice if i could get up on 1-2gb (ive got 3 in total)
It's kinda laggy and stuff. I'm using the newest version of virtual box! :)
Thanks in advance.
(Running a fresh install of windows 10)

Also I'm experiencing technical difficulties at the end of the windows 10 installation. I get an error screen on my ''real pc''
Went into the dump logs and got this error.

Maybe i missed the vram part, ill check again.

I found this "NDIS is a legitimate system driver for your network interface controller. However, malware has often been disguised using this file name. "

why anything network related would be crashing is beyond me haha

I'll try not giving it a network driver at all, then install it. Be back!

no it won't i found this

"I read a long discussion in virtualbox forum, why it can't be done. But it said, those software emulates hardware and drivers (to be used in guest) are written according to that. There are severe limitation to emulate a 3D graphics card because the drivers are closed source."

So there's no way to allocate more vram ;/?

No it won't I found this on vmware forum

"No you cannot assign your graphics card to the virtual machine as your host would no longer have a graphics card to use. The hardware your virtual machine sees is virtual, not actual hardware.

For more on the concepts, have a look at Frequently Asked Questions about VMware Fusion and in particular the paragraph "Virtual Hardware"."

Damn, Man i just wanted to allocate a bit more vram to mah computer 🙁, why does nobody allow that. I'd be forever thankful if you could find me a vm that allows me to do so :))).

I found this

"Note: Ensure that Video Adapter settings for the parent virtual machine is set to Auto-Detect before making these changes.

Edit the pool settings in the VMware View Connection Server Admin portal.
Increase the number of monitors and the resolution to the maximum value.
Shutdown and then power on all the virtual machines in the pool using the vSphere Client.

This sets the video memory to maximum setting, between 125 MB to 128 MB."

VMware actually has 128mb max video memory allocation xD

FK! xD, why do they even put a cap on the allocation.
I just need a bit more video ram, is that too much to ask for? xD

It's not even possible for normal ram to be used as video ram tho XD, if i remember correctly..

If you just built the computer and the ram you got is bad then they will replace it for you for free
