I just built a new gaming rig a couple months ago with this motherboards:

MSI Z68A-GD80 (G3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
$190 after MIR, at the moment.
I liked that this board promises higher quality components, has a great deal of features, looks good, and handles my two MSI 560ti HAWKS (twin frozr III) in SLI without any problems. I have also come to like the one-click overclocking feature that takes my i5 2500k from 3.3ghz up to 4.2ghz with a simple push of a button on the motherboard.
This is the first MSI motherboard I have had, but so far in the past two months it's performed flawlessly. It also has pci-e 3.0 capability, but honestly I don't think that's something you really need to consider right now, or even in the near future. PCI-E 2.0 is more than enough for the most current cards; in fact I have heard they don't even begin to saturate the bandwidth of 2.0, so don't let that be your deciding factor with whatever motherboard you choose, especially since you want to use your current card which isn't 3.0 anyway.
Just for reference, here's the full list of the parts I put into my new rig recently:
