Hi, so fairly recently I got an 8700k did a custom loop etc and had upgraded from an i5 4690k. However I was rather disappointed to see stuttering in my mouse actions very slow performance even compared to my i5. So I did a cinebench test and found it gave a score of 633 multicore and 126 single core. I know this is awful but I can't figure out why? Please help.

A few things you can try at this point.

1. Reinstall video drivers with the option to revert all settings back to default.

2. Clear CMOS setting on the MB, then set your MB values to what you wanted before. If still no change, try attempting the benchmarks but without OCing.

3. Reinstall Windows OS.

I recommend doing both 2 and 3 anyways; specifically because you had a BSOD that involved a driver or application.
Temps are running hot but not enough for the TDP to be hit causing themselves throttling, I kept an eye on temps, core clock and voltages and all remained consistent under full load. However as stupid as it may sound in my excitement for the new system I did just wack in my old SSD with the windows I had in my old PC and hope for the best

The new build of Windows 10 (v1803) Aprill 2018 edition makes this easier. Now included is an "Ultimate Performance" mode under Power Options. If the system supports it, CPU latency will be reduced.

In my case, I had to add it into the system with a command line in order for it to be an available option to choose from. It's possible this is a non-issue for clean installations of Windows.
