Independent L/R channel headset?

Hi all,

I am wondering if this is a thing...

I currently run PC games with the game audio coming through a 2.1 desktop speaker set, and then ventrillo/mumble/etc. running through a gaming headset. I usually have one earphone/speaker off one of my ears so I can hear the game audio, and use the other speaker and microphone part of the headset to chat with fellow gamers.

I suppose I could upgrade and buy a very fine gaming headset and pump all sound through it, anticipating that it will be clear and all sounds will be discernible.

But, what would be really cool for me is if I could say pipe in ventrillo/mumble into the left headset speaker, and the game audio through the right speaker. Does anyone know if there are any offerings in the gaming headset arena with this as a feature? I would be looking for something with usb connectivity if possible, but analog OK, too.

You'd need to make up something. output from each into mono. each mono into stereo 3.5mm jack

Then plug your headset into that. (Not your mic of course)
